Summarizing ‘The 100″ a Michael Hart’s masterpiece

“The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History” is a book written by Michael H. Hart, an American astrophysicist and historian. The book was first published in 1978 and has since become a widely read and debated work.

In the book, Hart ranks the 100 most influential people in human history based on their impact on the course of history and human civilization. The rankings are based on various criteria, including the individuals’ achievements, their impact on the world, and their lasting legacy.

After decades of thorough research, Michael came up with his masterpiece which can hardly be refuted because of his strong argumentative reasoning behind ranking. The top ten individuals on Hart’s list, in descending order, are:

  1. Muhammad, Prophet of Islam
  2. Isaac Newton, English mathematician and physicist
  3. Jesus Christ, religious leader and founder of Christianity
  4. Buddha, founder of Buddhism
  5. Confucius, Chinese philosopher and teacher
  6. St. Paul, early Christian missionary and writer
  7. Ts’ai Lun, Chinese inventor of paper
  8. Johann Gutenberg, German inventor of the printing press
  9. Christopher Columbus, Italian explorer
  10. Albert Einstein, German physicist

The book has been both praised and criticized for its rankings, with some readers arguing that certain individuals have been left out or that the criteria used for the rankings are flawed. Nevertheless, “The 100” remains a thought-provoking and immensely influential work in the field of historical rankings and analysis
