Is formal education a must for success?

Not at all! In fact it is least needed. Less needed than determination, focus and hard work! Majority of great philosophers, leaders, literary figures, founders of sciences and above all the Prophets were not degree holders from Oxford or PhDs from Harvard. Having said that, formal education may play a role in someone’s success particularly when provided in a befitting fashion. Let’s discuss it a bit…

Formal education can certainly be a valuable asset for achieving success, but it is not necessarily a requirement. There are many successful individuals who have achieved their goals without formal education, but have instead gained knowledge and skills through alternative means such as apprenticeships, mentorships, self-education, or practical experience. In human history, more than 90% of the successful people did not receive formal education as we know it today. They however, were educated and trained in a non formal and more productive way.

That being said, formal education can offer a structured and comprehensive approach to learning that can help individuals develop a wide range of knowledge and skills that can be valuable for success in various fields. Formal education can also provide individuals with recognized credentials that can enhance their employability and earning potential.

However, it is important to note that success is not solely determined by education or credentials. Success can also depend on factors such as hard work, determination, creativity, and the ability to adapt and learn from failures. Ultimately, the path to success varies for each individual, and it is important to consider personal goals and circumstances when deciding the role that formal education may play in achieving success.
