Surpassing Google+ in users, ChatGPT by OpenAI appears unstoppable. 110 M users are using ChatGPT now and it took only five months for the master release by Microsoft to reach where Google+, the giant reached in 14 months.

ChatGPT, a chatbot developed by OpenAI, has become incredibly popular, with a record-setting 100 million active users just two months after launch. ChatGPT is built on OpenAI’s GPT-3 language model and offers a range of capabilities, including answering questions, following up on queries, writing essays, and providing coding assistance. Despite the popularity of the tool, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has warned that it is “incredibly limited” and should not be relied on for important tasks. Demand for ChatGPT has been higher than anticipated, and OpenAI has launched a subscription service called ChatGPT Plus to monetize that demand. Microsoft has partnered with OpenAI to incorporate ChatGPT into its services, including its Bing search engine. OpenAI has projected revenues of $200 million for 2023 and $1 billion for 2024. The startup was most recently valued at $29 billion after a $10 billion funding round by Microsoft.
